Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information may be collected when you use Marion County Released Inmates, how that information supports the site, when outside parties may receive it, and what choices may be available. By continuing to use the site, you accept the practices described here.

Information You Submit

Information you type into a search box is sent to the third-party search provider that operates that tool. We do not receive or store the provider’s complete results. If you send us a message, we may receive the name, email address, message text, and any details you choose to include. Do not send Social Security numbers, account credentials, or other sensitive identifiers.

Automatic Technical Data

Servers and service providers may automatically record an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, dates, times, and basic interaction data. Cookies and similar technologies may remember preferences, measure traffic, support security, and help advertising or analytics services operate. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though parts of the site may work differently.

How Data Is Used

We use collected information to operate and secure the site, respond to messages, understand which Marion County release resources readers use, diagnose faults, measure performance, and improve navigation. Information may also support analytics, advertising, and prevention of abuse. We do not use a message to obtain an official jail or court record on a visitor’s behalf.

Information may be provided to search partners that process a query, vendors that host or secure the site, analytics providers, and advertising networks. We may also disclose data to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, users, systems, or public safety. A service transfer, merger, or similar business event may also involve relevant data, subject to applicable law.

Security Has Limits

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no website, network, or storage method can promise complete security. Visitors submit information at their own risk and should limit messages to what is needed.

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from minors. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contact Us page to request review.

Your Privacy Choices

Requests may require identity verification, and legal retention or security needs may limit a request. Browser settings provide separate controls for cookies. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs records maintained by Texas government bodies; it does not turn this private site into a government records custodian.

We may revise this notice as services, vendors, or legal duties change. The updated version takes effect when posted here. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the revised practices.
